Enjoyed this perspective as someone who has lived and worked in both European and Middle Eastern countries.

I find that I miss my countrymen when I’m abroad, but they annoy the hell out of me once I’m “home” and settled back into life in the USA. It’s a strange phenomenon, indeed.
